With an annual production of around 50 hectares, tomatoes are at the heart of Cerro's production. They are harvested and processed using state-of-the-art equipment to preserve their quality. Among the most marketed varieties are the Long Tom Tomatoes (long in size), harvested as a green tomato (for salads) or when it’s ripe, in its very intense, bright red colour and the Roma Tomatoes, smooth and round, characterised by its long shelf life after harvesting. The company also produces the Beefsteak, Heirloom and Piccadilly varieties. The first is used as a salad tomato, the second and third are harvested in clusters when fully ripe. .
